While the first season of The Eminence in Shadow introduces a dizzying array of formidable characters, the second season has been equally impressive, with the villains Aurora, the Blood Queen Elisabeth, and the Three Monarchs all demonstrating profound abilities and strengths. The Eminence in Shadow is no stranger to spectacles, with new characters regularly introduced who could challenge the status quo.

10 Eta Is Held Back By Her SLeep Disorder

Eta is one of the more intriguing figures within Shadow Garden, as she holds the potential to rank a few spots higher on a power ranking list. Sadly, she suffers from a relentless sleeping disorder that impedes her from unleashing her full potential. Unfortunately, while she has many skills, Beta is more akin to a jack of all trades than a specialist in any one area. Even though Beta is an incredibly competent member of Shadows Garden, she does not possess one attribute that could place her higher on this list.

Beta is a calm and observant fighter, excelling at gathering information and building contacts. Even though these qualities make her a great leader, her lack of combat skills renders her weaker in one-on-one combat. However, it would be unwise to underestimate Beta's strength. During Season Two, Episode Three, she proved she could survive a constant barrage of attacks from Blood Queen Elisabeth until Shadow arrived later.

7 Beatrix's Swordsmanship Is Almost Unparalleled

During the first season of The Eminence in Shadow, fans are introduced to Beatrix, an Elven warrior on a quest to find her sibling. Although not officially confirmed in the anime, she may be Alpha's aunt, with even Cid commenting on the pair's physical similarities. This familial relationship, akin to Alpha's ancestral ties to Olivier, could hint that anyone who shares their lineage could be predisposed to be naturally strong.

Beatrix is considered one of the strongest sword-wielders in the world. She is fast, strong, and capable of reacting quickly to incoming attacks. While Beatrix is no match for Cid, Beatrix displays a level of ability that puts her among the strongest in the series. Zeta's important position in Shadow Garden requires them to head out on dangerous espionage missions where she may need to fight.

Cid has previously described her as the most talented member of Shadow Garden, having the innate ability to excel at whatever she does. Zeta is an excellent physical fighter, utilizing a similar style to Delta but combining it with her advanced intelligence. As the head of espionage, Zeta, unsurprisingly, is masterful at using stealth during combat, providing the ability to attack silently and not drawing the attention of her opponents. She also excels at using swords and magic, making her an all-round fighter.

Olivier, a descendant of the three heroes, had been inside a magical facility called Sanctuary for centuries when she first encountered Shadow. During this time, the Cult of Diablos had been experimenting on her to turn Olivier into a superweapon. Unsurprisingly, Olivier is monstrously powerful and puts up a decent fight against Shadow, landing numerous precise attacks while moving at superhuman speeds.

Olivier wields a holy sword in battle, manages to inflict substantial damage on Shadow during their encounter, and even manages to impale her sword through his torso. Before their encounter, one of her feats involved sealing away the former Demon King. While Shadow swiftly takes out Olivier during their fight, Olivier puts in a commendable fight against an overwhelmingly overpowered opponent.

4 Alpha Is The Highest-Ranking Member Of The Seven Shadows

Alpha is the highest-ranked and most respected member of the Seven Shadows. Even among this elite group, Alpha stands out as an extraordinarily skilled fighter, possessing superhuman physical attributes that grant her the ability to dominate over the majority of adversaries.

Alpha excels at everything she tries. She is a gifted sword wielder, a profoundly exceptional magic user, even if she uses it rarely. Nevertheless, her most powerful attribute is her peerless intelligence. During her recent fight against John Smith, Alpha quickly realized she was fighting Cid based on his fighting style and the abilities he used. Nevertheless, while Alpha may be exceptional, her strength is still second to Delta's overwhelming physical power.

During Season Two of The Eminence in Shadow, Shadow fight Elisabeth, an ancient vampire revived through human sacrifices. After her revival, Elisabeth quickly demonstrates why people fear her by effectively utilizing her blood as a weapon, effortlessly transforming its shape and density. With little effort, Elisabeth can turn her blood into thousands of tiny shards, raining blood that moves and hits with the power of bullets.

While Elizabeth is incredibly powerful, Shadow can stop her relentless incoming attack while simultaneously shielding his sister and members of Shadow Garden. This moment highlighted that, while she is one of the more powerful characters in the series, Shadow is in a league of his own.

1 Aurora Can Replicate Some Of Cid's Abilities

Aurora, also known as the Witch of Calamity and Diablos, is a powerful witch who currently possesses the body of Claire Kagenou. After taking possession of her body earlier this season, Aurora demonstrates her overwhelming power against Elisabeth, one of the most formidable characters introduced in the series. Aurora lifts one of her hands and effortlessly stops Elisabeth's incoming attack, then launches it back at her.

As thousands of blood-based attacks ping back and forth across the sky, Aurora watches on from the ground. She is composed, profoundly strong, and capable of altering her physical appearance, much like Cid. Aurora didn't need to use her full power against Elisabeth, hinting that she may be even more powerful. During her fight with Elizabeth, Aurora demonstrated that she could replicate one of Cid's signature abilities: I am the all-range Atomic. Unfortunately, Aurora couldn't pull it off, as Claire's body had yet to adjust to Aurora's overwhelming power.
